Digital Transformation on the Roads: AGUIA and Its Vision at the Smart Roads Congress

On December 10 and 11, the 4th edition of the Spanish Smart Roads Congress took place with great success, a key event for the future of sustainable mobility and road infrastructure. Under the slogan “Technology for the management of smart roads and highways,” crucial topics for the digitization, automation, and sustainability of our roads were addressed.

During the event, innovative trends such as the following were discussed:

• •Technological solutions for the efficient management of road infrastructures.
• •Digital transformation in the monitoring and maintenance of roads.
• •Artificial Intelligence and Big Data applied to traffic management.
• •Strategies for implementing sustainable and safe roads.

A particularly significant moment for us at AGUIA was our participation as a new member of the AEC (Spanish Road Association). During the session dedicated to interurban roads, we presented the Smart Pavements Analytics (SPA), where we shared our vision of the future of intelligent infrastructures and how new technologies can transform the way we manage roads, improving their safety, efficiency, and sustainability.
